Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933
Today, on the Holodomor Remembrance Day, we bow our heads to the millions of our compatriots who fell victim to this terrible tragedy.
The Holodomor is not just a page of tragic events in the past. It is a reminder of the value of human life, freedom, truth, and justice.
We remember the times when our people were subjected to genocide on the fertile Ukrainian land because of a totalitarian policy that ruthlessly destroyed lives. Stalin's policy aimed at destroying Ukrainians as a nation was intended to erase our identity and undermine our strength.
Today, we see history repeating itself: the putin regime has adopted the methods of stalin's terror, trying to bring our people to their knees through war, terror, and the destruction of infrastructure. Nevertheless, just like in the 1930s, Ukrainians are unbreakable. We continue to fight for freedom, truth, and the future of our children.
Energoatom always honors the memory of the past. We understand that the strength of the people lies in unity, mutual support, and memory.
By knowing and honoring our history, we can build a future free from horrors, injustice, and tragedies.
Today, we urge everyone to light a candle of remembrance in their homes. Let this light come to symbolize unity, grief, and resilience.
