Energoatom’s representatives attended the REGIONAL CYBER RESILIENCE FORUM: LVIV
On July 24-25, the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) and CRDF Global hosted the REGIONAL CYBER RESILIENCE FORUM: LVIV. The event discussed, among other things, opportunities to counter russian disinformation and propaganda in the energy sector.
Petro Kotin, the head of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom”, welcomed the participants and emphasized that cybersecurity and information security are vital to protecting the Ukrainian energy sector.
“As a state-owned strategic enterprise and the operator of all Ukrainian nuclear power plants, Energoatom properly assesses all risks and systematically works to protect against information and cyber threats,” he said.
The head of NNEGC noted that the enemy has no limits in its attempts to distort reality, so it is crucial to learn to provide timely responses to cyberattacks and disinformation, manipulations, and fakes and effectively counteract these threats.
The event was attended by experts from the Head Office of Energoatom, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, the NSDC Staff, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, the Center for Countering Disinformation, Ukrainian and international officials, representatives of technology companies, etc.
