Twice as many specialists to be involved in preparation for completion of KhNPP power units
At the Khmelnytsky NPP site, restoration works are ongoing on power units #3 and #4.
During a working visit to the power plant, Acting CEO Petro Kotin mentioned that 333 professionals have already been engaged in the process and this number should double in the spring.
"I am satisfied with the pace and level of the work carried out: this is already a completely different condition of the power units than the one in which they have been idle for many years. I would like to thank everyone involved in the process. We are confidently taking steps to increase Ukraine's nuclear capacity," Petro Kotin emphasized.
Qualified specialists of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, who have relevant experience in the construction of the ZNPP six units, are currently engaged. They are provided with housing as well as logistics are organized for them and decent working conditions are created.
"In the spring, the number of specialists working at the site should increase to 600 people. As early as now, we have to address several issues so that nuclear workers from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, who will come to the KhNPP satellite city, are provided with everything they need," Petro Kotin stressed.
Already in the 2030s, rapid growth in energy consumption is predicted in Ukraine, so the Company continues to work intensively on the completion of units.
According to Acting CEO of Energoatom, the Khmelnytsky NPP will be the flagship of the nuclear power industry of Ukraine, and after the liberation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP from the ruscists, our country will have two of the most powerful nuclear power plants in Europe.
